How Body Contouring Works
At The Body Lounge, we don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we create customised body-contouring plans using a combination of advanced, non-invasive technologies selected to suit your body, goals, and comfort.
In a single session, treatments may include ultrasonic fat cavitation to target stubborn fat, RF skin tightening to support firmness and elasticity, vacuum therapy to help smooth the appearance of cellulite and support circulation, and laser lipo to assist with contouring and circumference reduction.
These technologies can be used individually or combined as part of our Contour IQ™ approach a premium, multi-modality treatment designed to deliver a more comprehensive contouring experience. We also offer Liquid Lipo™ treatments, which incorporate specialised topical products alongside selected technologies to support either skin-tightening or fat-dissolving goals.
Treatment Areas & Sizing
Treatments are measured in A5-sized areas (148 × 210 mm), which is approximately half the size of an A4 sheet.
-
The stomach typically counts as 2 areas (upper and lower)
-
Larger areas, such as the thighs or back, may count as 4 areas
For safety and best results, a maximum of 4 areas is treated per session.
At The Body Lounge, we use a range of advanced, non-invasive technologies to support body contouring and skin tightening. These modalities may be used individually or combined, depending on your treatment plan and goals.
Each modality works in a different way, and your sessions are always tailored to your body, comfort, and response to treatment.
Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation
Ultrasonic fat cavitation uses low-frequency ultrasound energy to target stubborn fat deposits beneath the skin. This treatment is designed to support body contouring and improve the appearance of treated areas. It is not a weight-loss treatment, but may assist with reshaping areas such as the stomach, arms, legs, and back.
RF Skin Tightening
Radio-frequency (RF) skin tightening gently heats the deeper layers of the skin to support collagen and elastin production. This process helps improve skin firmness, elasticity, and overall tone, making it suitable for areas where skin laxity is a concern.
Vacuum Therapy
Vacuum therapy uses controlled suction to help stimulate circulation and support lymphatic movement. This modality may assist with smoothing the appearance of uneven texture and cellulite while supporting overall skin tone in the treated area.
Laser Lipo
Laser lipo uses low-level laser energy applied externally to support body contouring and circumference reduction. It is commonly used as part of a multi-modality approach to assist with shaping and refining treated areas.
Sauna Blanket Therapy
Sauna blanket therapy provides gentle heat to support relaxation, circulation, and perspiration during selected treatments. It may be used alongside other modalities to enhance comfort and support the body’s natural processes as part of a broader body-contouring plan.
Sauna blanket therapy is used as a complementary treatment and is not a standalone body-contouring solution.
How Modalities Are Used
Not every treatment session uses every modality. Your practitioner will select and combine technologies based on your individual needs, treatment area, and desired outcomes.
For a more comprehensive, multi-modality session, modalities may be combined as part of our Contour IQ™ approach or incorporated into Liquid Lipo™ treatments.
